quotes Hey bro! Got promoted at work and haven't been on PB in months... that's a whole nuther story though. Quick question... I'm trying to setup my 1X on the Stumpy and am having some trouble... the bolts they shipped aren't long enuf to span the spacers + guide + mount plate and screw into the swingarm. Did you have that problem? Peace!

quotes Thanks, amigo. That's one sick whip. Love it. You definitely pulled off the red theme w/o making it look too contrived, plus it's a super functional build. Everything on there is solid.

quotes Aha! It works! 5mm spacers? I'm guessing 1 up front w/ the washer and just the standard bolt w/ washer for the rear?

quotes Damn dude, that crank/ring/guide combo looks good! Flippin' light as hell too, I'm sure, compared to my triple setup ;-)

quotes Nice! Haven't ordered mine yet... just signed up for ORAM (http://www.blueridgeadventures.net/oramm/main.html) and now I'm scared to take off my granny ring! LoL Maybe I'll just set a goal: 8/1/11 = 1x setup. Will you post up a couple pics when you mount it? I'm curious if it'll just go straight on there.

quotes Oh yeah, those are gonna be effing sick. Can't wait to get new wheels for my ride. Wheels + Drivetrain are the only weaknesses left... besides my wallet that is!

hey, posted pics of the new rig, and snapped a couple of the guide for you, fits like a charm with some spacers, and a new bolt that I had to trim with a grinder a little...

yeah, that's exactly what I ran(SLX e-type), I'll mount it, and show you how it's supposed to look. it's just one spacer, and then the two mounting bolts along with the bolt to keep the adapter in place at the back of the S1 position.

the plate that comes with the bikes is actually an adapter for S1, S2, S3. but the shimano slx which I ran(as cost is like 30ish, versus 70 for xt) fit perfectly as an S1. I think that with one simple drill bit, I can solve the problem, but unfortunately I don't have the rest of my parts, so I can't drill it yet, as I may only need to throw on a spacer to the front of the S1 mount, and I'll be golden.

will do, it's actually going to require some modding, I may just run a proper guide, I'll mod some bolts to get this to fit, and see what I think for the time being. But I'll let you know when I get it on. It looks nice, but it's chilling with one bolt mounted, and I need a longer bolt for the other attachment point, which may in the end push the guide out too far from the frame for it to function. I'll play around with it next week when I have the rest of my parts in, and post pics as it goes.
